PRESIDENT ELECT BARACK OBAMA
Like so many around the world, we too are thrilled to see that the US elected Barack Obama as its next president. Hurray! He is a very real person, with all kinds of talents and hope for all.
However, for the US and world, he is not just a real human being, but (like all of us) is also a global world role whose range of influence moves beyond the individual person-body-figure.
What is Obama’s role? He is the one who tries and succeeds, in spite of history’s downing, to lead and change the world.
To protect and support the direction and role this new President will play, and to support greater understanding and appreciation of everyone in all communities, it is important that each of us realizes we have that same “Obama” role within us. And each of us needs to let the voice of that role speak. What does it say? It says (as Obama said)
How do we support the creation of a new world?
1. Remember all the real parties and issues in consensus reality.
2. Don’t forget however, that the power of each real person is also a shared role; something inside each of us and something in our community fields.
3. Use awareness and support each real person and role to speak in an ongoing dialogue.
Then all of us participate as individuals and communities in bringing a new world to birth. It is our experience that each and every one of us, regardless of her or his position in the everyday world, is responsible and also has the power to create new world transformations. Such revolutions happen as we all know, not just by voting, but through awareness of who we are, and what is happening in and around us.
May all beings enjoy a deeper democracy!
